BLS (Basic Life Support) Courses

BLS provides the skills to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies. Basic Life Support skills are required for nursing staff, doctors, EMS providers, and care aides, medical and dental professionals. You may also benefit from having your Basic Life Support level if you are a professional with a fire service or rescue team, a sports medicine professional, a lifeguard or a ski patroller. If you are not a first responder or medical professional, you may need CPR Level A or C.

NOTE: If you are a current First Aid Instructor certified to teach CPR-HCP, we are offering an opportunity to complete your BLS Bridging Process to become a BLS Instructor. You will need to complete a BLS course with Airway and Oxygen components, which we are running on May 9th and 23rd. These courses are available due to an extension from the Red Cross to assist instructors who were not previously able to complete their participant-level prerequisites. These two courses will be the last available courses for the bridging program. Register below or by calling (403) 452-7727.
