Corporate Training – Workplace Health & Safety

New Course: Prevention of Disease Transmission

The Prevention of Disease Transmission course is designed to help organizations meet public health guidelines, and is suitable for all audiences, including those who work in front-line service delivery, retail, community and social services, and those who work with vulnerable populations. Add a PDT course to your group’s CPR or First Aid booking to receive a discounted rate. For more information, contact Sarah at

Online Training At Home

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many corporate workplaces are closed while employees work remotely. At this time, we highly recommend our online First Aid and CPR courses. All online First Aid, CPR, and Basic Life Support courses meet Alberta Occupational Health & Safety first aid workplace legislation. Participants who complete Part 1: Online Learning will receive a completion certificate that is valid for workplace first aid requirements.

Participants must take Part 2: Classroom Learning within 90 days, or once in-person training resumes.

Certification Extensions

Alberta Occupational Health & Safety, the Canadian Red Cross, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, and Energy Safety Canada have reached accommodations for those who need to maintain their certifications in order to work.

  • All Standard First Aid and Emergency First Aid certificates which were due to expire between March 1 and September 30 have been granted a 90-day extension from their expiry date. (E.g. a certificate which expires on March 12 is now valid until June 12.)
  • All H2S Alive certificates which were due to expire between January 1 and August 31, 2020 will now be extended to September 1, 2020.
  • All Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support certificates which were due to expire between March 2020 through May 2020 will have a renewal grace period until September 30, 2020. This timeline may be extended based on the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.
