COVID-19/Coronavirus

Titan Health & Safety will be temporarily suspending registrations. We are taking registrations after May 1st, 2020, however these dates are subject to change. Priority will be given to any participants whose courses have been already postponed.  If you want to start your program while you wait at home, Partial Online classes, which are 50% online at your own pace and 50% in-class skills once classroom courses are available, are an option. The in-class portion of all Partial Online classes will take place after May 1, 2020.

As per our terms and conditions, during this pandemic all registration fees for courses which are postponed or cancelled will be applied as a credit which can be used for a future class. As a small business, we thank you for your support.

For classes after May 1, 2020:
Titan Health & Safety maintains the highest standards of cleanliness. Each participant has the use of their own mask and mannequin, which has been fully sterilized and disinfected per the Canadian Red Cross standards. Additional alcohol wipes are available upon request for participants’ comfort. As a social distancing measure we are will be running at half-capacity.

We ask that participants refrain from attending their course if: they have fever or respiratory symptoms; they have recently travelled; or if they have been in contact with a person who has travelled recently. If you or a close contact are experiencing symptoms or are at risk, please call Titan Health & Safety at 403-452-7727 for options to change the date of your course.

In the case of a closure or participant cancellation, all funds will be applied as a credit towards a future class.

Cancellations / Transfers

For In-Class Courses under $225.00 (does not include Partial On-Line Courses): Cancellations made more than five (5) business days prior to course will receive a course refund minus a $10.00 cancellation fee. Between five (5) and two (2) business days prior to course, no refunds will be given, but participants may change the dates of their course without penalty. Two (2) or fewer days before the course, no refunds will be given and date changes will be subject to a $25.00 administration fee. Cancellations may be made by phone or email. Date changes are subject to availability.

For In-Class Courses $225.00 and over (does not include Partial On-Line Courses): Cancellations made fifteen (15) business days prior to course may receive a full refund if course materials have not been given out. If course materials have been received a book fee will be charged. Fees range from $60 to $300 depending on course. If the participant would like to change dates, he/she can hold the materials for the next course. A $50.00 transfer fee will be charged in all transfers and is subject to the program facilitators discretion and course availability. If a cancellation is made less than fifteen (15) business days with no medical reason (note may be requested) all fees will be forfeit. No-shows will automatically forfeit all fees.

For Partial On-Line Courses: Cancellations made five (5) or more business days prior to the In-Class portion of the course may receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within five (5) business days of the In-Class portion will forfeit all fees. Transfers are subject to availability. Transfers made within five (5) business days of the In-Class portion require a $50.00 rescheduling fee. There is no rescheduling fee for transfers made five (5) or more business days in advance of the In-Class portion of the course. No-shows will automatically forfeit all fees.

Partial On-Line Course participants must bring proof of completion of the On-Line portion of their course to the In-Class day. If they do not bring proof, they will not be allowed to participate in the In-Class skills portion of the class, and must rebook their In-Class portion, subject to the $50.00 transfer fee, as above.

Cash Payments

Payment in advance of the course date by credit card or by e-transfer reserves the participant’s space in the course. In the instance that a participant has made a prior arrangement to pay with cash on the date of their course, their space in the course is not guaranteed, and they may be asked to change their date if the course fills in advance of the course date.

Course Cancellations

If Titan Health and Safety cancels a course the participant will receive a full refund or may reschedule for a later date. Titan Health and Safety will notify participants by email of any changes.

Refunds

If payment was made by credit card the payment will be refunded back to the (original) credit card, less any fees as stated above.

Late or No Arrival

If arriving late the participant may not be allowed entry into class and may forfeit the full course fee. If the participant does not show up to the course, or has not made arrangements prior to the course date to reschedule, he/she forfeits all fees. Extenuating circumstances may be exempt and is at the instructors’ discretion.

Risk to Client

The client understands that there will be a a physical component to their course. If the participant cannot perform the CPR component he/she may take part in the course, however will not be certified by the Red Cross. All components of the H2S Alive and First Aid/CPR must be taken and completed to receive certification.

Locations

All locations will have restrooms and free parking available. Some locations will have microwaves and fridges. Clients will be notified via email of the location and facilities available prior to the course.

Privacy Policy

Titan Health and Safety collects your name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail for the purpose of registering for current and future Health & Safety courses. Titan Health and Safety clients will receive an email or telephone notification when the issued certificate is about to expire. To opt-out of receiving recertification notice please contact Titan Health and Safety via telephone or e-mail. Titan Health will not sell, share or rent any personal client information. Titan Health transfers client information for certification purposes to the Canadian Red Cross through a secure database. Titan Health is not responsible for any intercepted information sent through any unsecured wireless devices. If there are any concerns please register via phone or secure device. Online Payments are made through a secure Pay Pal site and are insured.

Appeals

Participants can appeal any undesirable outcome of their certification. The first attempt will be to speak to the instructor at the end of their class. The instructor will make all reasonable and time permitting attempts to assist the participants in any area he/she may need further instruction. If that attempt fails the participant may appeal to the program director via email or in person with a written/typed letter. The participant may be asked to repeat all or a portion of the course at a later date agreed upon by the participant and Titan Health and Safety. If available a different instructor will be used. If the participant is again unsuccessful he/she will have to re-register into another course and re-pay the original fee.

Complaints

All complaints will go directly to Titan Health and Safety Management and will be handled as soon as possible during regular business hours. If complaint is urgent, all instructors have after hours contact information for Titan Health and Safety Management. Every reasonable attempt will be made to resolve the complaint in a timely and appropriate manor. Complaints can be made via email, phone or in person.

Harassment

Any verbal or physical harassment will not be tolerated. Participants who harass others, use inappropriate language or make offensive jokes will be asked to leave the class and will not receive a refund or a chance to re-apply. The participant will not be given their certification if they have not completed the course requirements. Appeals may be made to Titan Health and Safety Management only.

Smoking

The Training Center is a city-owned building. There is a smoking By Law that prohibits smoking anywhere on the property. This includes the parking lot. Please step off the property to smoke. Management has asked for a fifteen foot distance from the property.

During normal operations, the cancellation and refund policy will remain in effect as outlined in these Terms & Conditions. In the case of a closure, all funds will be applied as a credit towards a future class. This credit will not expire. Credit memos will be sent to participants by email within 21 business days of any closure.
