Partial Online First Aid, CPR, and Basic Life Support Courses
All partial online First Aid, CPR, and Basic Life Support courses meet Alberta Occupational Health & Safety first aid workplace legislation.
The online completion certificate expires after 45 days of registration. Participants will be required to compete the in-person classroom training within 45 days of registering for their course.

- Complete Part 1: Online Learning at your own pace at home, then complete Part 2: Classroom Learning within 45 days of registering.
- The online courses have been designed to be user friendly, but a general knowledge of computers is recommended.
- BC Out of Jurisdiction certificates can now be purchased in combination with Partial Online Standard and Emergency First Aid courses.
Partial Online First Aid Course Details
When you register for a partial online course, you will receive an email giving you access to the Canadian Red Cross’s online learning portal within one (1) business day. If you register on a weekend, you will receive access to the online learning on the following Monday or the following business day if it is a holiday weekend. Once you complete your online learning, you will receive proof of completion which you can access online or print out. This certificate is valid for 45 days from the date of registration. Classroom Learning must be completed during this 45-day window.
Online courses require the same total learning time, but they allow you to proceed at your own pace for the online learning portion of the course.
