All accuracy and content for the online courses are operated by We Know Training. First Aid and H2S standards are supplied through the Canadian Red Cross and Energy Safety Canada (previously Enform). Basic Life Support courses are supplied through the Canadian Red Cross and the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Public Health Orders

For in-person training:

In the case of a closure due to a public health order, all funds will be applied as a credit towards a future class.

When attending an in-person course, all participants must follow these instructions, which will also be sent to all participants in their course confirmation emails:

COVID-19 Safety And Hygiene: 
1. You must take and pass the Alberta Health Covid-19 self-assessment on the morning of your class. You will be asked when you enter the class if you have taken the assessment that morning and whether you passed.
2. You must wear a mask during the class. You may bring one of your own or we will provide one to you. This is dependent on the Calgary Municipal Bylaw. If the bylaw is repealed, masks will be STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
3. When you enter the classroom, stop at the sanitization station and follow handwashing/sanitizing directions.
4. After handwashing, choose a seat in the class. This will be your seat throughout the day and it is expected that you will follow social/physical distancing throughout the day.
5. Your instructor will sign you in and discuss parking with you. Your instructor may also require you to wash hands at different points throughout the day.
6. Anyone not in compliance with the above instructions will be asked to leave the classroom. There are no refunds for those who choose to leave or who do not follow the above instructions.

Restrictions Exemption Program (beginning September 20, 2021)

Titan Health & Safety Ltd. will be participating in the Alberta Health Restrictions Exemption Program.
Starting on September 20, all participants must provide one of the following:

  • proof of vaccination
    • single dose accepted between September 20 and October 25 if received 2 weeks before time of service (e.g. for a course on September 20, 2021, the participant must have received their first dose on or before September 6, 2021).
    • double doses required after October 25 if received 2 weeks before time of service (e.g. for a course on October 25, 2021, the participant must have received their second dose on or before October 11, 2021).
  • documentation of a medical exemption
  • proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service

If participants cannot or will not provide appropriate documentation as outlined above, they will not be allowed into the course and no refunds will be given. If participants provide a negative test result that is dated more than 72 hours before their course date, they will not be allowed into the course and no refund will be given.

Cancellations / Transfers

For In-Class Courses under $225.00: Cancellations made more than five (5) business days prior to course will receive a course refund minus a $10.00 cancellation fee. Between five (5) and two (2) business days prior to course, no refunds will be given, but participants may change the dates of their course without penalty. Two (2) or fewer days before the course, no refunds will be given and date changes will be subject to a $25.00 administration fee. Cancellations may be made by phone or email. Date changes are subject to availability.

For In-Class Courses $225.00 and over: Cancellations made fifteen (15) business days prior to course may receive a full refund if course materials have not been given out. If course materials have been received a book fee will be charged. Fees range from $60 to $300 depending on course. If the participant would like to change dates, he/she can hold the materials for the next course. A $50.00 transfer fee will be charged in all transfers and is subject to the program facilitators discretion and course availability. If a cancellation is made less than fifteen (15) business days with no medical reason (note may be requested) all fees will be forfeit. No-shows will automatically forfeit all fees.

For Online Courses: Cancellations after the participant has been granted access to Part 1: Online Learning will forfeit all fees. For Part 2: Classroom Learning, transfers are subject to availability. Transfers made within two (2) business days of the in-class day are subject to a $25.00 rescheduling fee. There is no rescheduling fee for transfers made five (5) or more business days in advance of the In-Class portion of the course. No-shows will automatically forfeit all fees.

Online Course participants must bring proof of completion of Part 1: Online Learning to Part 2: Classroom Learning. If they do not bring proof, they will not be allowed to participate in the classroom learning, and must rebook their Part 2, subject to the $25.00 transfer fee, as above.

Cash Payments

Payment in advance of the course date by credit card or by e-transfer reserves the participant’s space in the course. In the instance that a participant has made a prior arrangement to pay with cash on the date of their course, their space in the course is not guaranteed, and they may be asked to change their date if the course fills in advance of the course date.

Course Cancellations

If Titan Health and Safety cancels a course the participant will receive a full refund or may reschedule for a later date. Titan Health and Safety will notify participants by email of any changes.


If payment was made by credit card the payment will be refunded back to the (original) credit card, less any fees as stated above.

Late or No Arrival

If arriving late the participant may not be allowed entry into class and may forfeit the full course fee. If the participant does not show up to the course, or has not made arrangements prior to the course date to reschedule, he/she forfeits all fees. Extenuating circumstances may be exempt and is at the instructors’ discretion.

Risk to Client

The client understands that there will be a a physical component to their course. If the participant cannot perform the CPR component he/she may take part in the course, however will not be certified by the Red Cross. All components of the H2S Alive and First Aid/CPR must be taken and completed to receive certification.


All locations will have restrooms and free parking available. Some locations will have microwaves and fridges. Clients will be notified via email of the location and facilities available prior to the course.

Privacy Policy

Titan Health and Safety collects your name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail for the purpose of registering for current and future Health & Safety courses. Titan Health and Safety clients will receive an email or telephone notification when the issued certificate is about to expire. To opt-out of receiving recertification notice please contact Titan Health and Safety via telephone or e-mail. Titan Health will not sell, share or rent any personal client information. Titan Health transfers client information for certification purposes to the Canadian Red Cross through a secure database. Titan Health is not responsible for any intercepted information sent through any unsecured wireless devices. If there are any concerns please register via phone or secure device. Online Payments are made through a secure Pay Pal site and are insured.


Participants can appeal any undesirable outcome of their certification. The first attempt will be to speak to the instructor at the end of their class. The instructor will make all reasonable and time permitting attempts to assist the participants in any area he/she may need further instruction. If that attempt fails the participant may appeal to the program director via email or in person with a written/typed letter. The participant may be asked to repeat all or a portion of the course at a later date agreed upon by the participant and Titan Health and Safety. If available a different instructor will be used. If the participant is again unsuccessful he/she will have to re-register into another course and re-pay the original fee.


All complaints will go directly to Titan Health and Safety Management and will be handled as soon as possible during regular business hours. If complaint is urgent, all instructors have after hours contact information for Titan Health and Safety Management. Every reasonable attempt will be made to resolve the complaint in a timely and appropriate manor. Complaints can be made via email, phone or in person.


Any verbal or physical harassment will not be tolerated. Participants who harass others, use inappropriate language or make offensive jokes will be asked to leave the class and will not receive a refund or a chance to re-apply. The participant will not be given their certification if they have not completed the course requirements. Appeals may be made to Titan Health and Safety Management only.


The Training Center is a city-owned building. There is a smoking By Law that prohibits smoking anywhere on the property. This includes the parking lot. Please step off the property to smoke. Management has asked for a fifteen foot distance from the property.
